This year's speaker at the recollection is Father Patrick J. Welsh. Fr. Welsh is a native of Trooper, PA. He attended Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary and was ordained a priest of the Archdiocese of Philadelphia in May 2000. His first priestly assignment was as parochial vicar and then parochial administrator at Nativity of the Blessed Virgin Mary Church, Media, from 2000 to 2004. Father Welsh then studied at the Pontifical Athenaeum Sant’Anselmo in Rome, where he obtained a License in Sacred Liturgy. Since 2008 he has been on the faculty of Saint Charles Borromeo Seminary, where he serves in multiple roles, as theology professor, Director of Liturgy, and Dean of Formation for the seminarians in the Theology Division.
