ISSUES: Learn about Catholic values in Medicine on pertinent issues such as physician assisted suicide, abortion, and Natural Family Planning and obtain reference materials on the Catholic position on health-related issues.
PUBLICATIONS: The Catholic Medical Association publishes The Linacre Quarterly, an outstanding journal dealing with ethics and medical/moral issues, as well as a newsletter with information about the activities of the CMA.
CONFERENCES: Attend regional and national conferences designed to increase awareness of moral issues faced by physicians and health care professionals. CME credits are usually offered at these events.
LOCAL ACTIVITIES: There may be a Local Guild already established in your area or diocese. Local Guild activities include networking and support opportunities, annual St. Luke's Mass, seminars, and civic and private volunteer programs.
INTERNATIONAL SERVICE: Volunteer for service in health care projects overseas through our Medical Missions program.
