William V. Williams, M.D.

William V. Williams, MD
Immediate Past-President

William V. Williams, M.D., F.A.C.P., is a physician-scientist trained
in rheumatology and immunology. His career has included faculty
appointments at the University of Pennsylvania, Vice-President of
Clinical Pharmacology at GlaxoSmithKline, and Vice-President,
Exploratory Development, at Incyte Corporation. Following his
conversion to the Catholic Faith in 1997, he became President of the Philadelphia Guild in 2003. He also has served as coordinator of the Catholic Medical Association joint task force with the National Catholic Bioethics Center on Ethics in Medical Research.

Christopher O'Hara , M.D.
President

Dr. O’Hara has worked in clinical pediatrics for over 10 years, including 6 years on the faculty at St. Christopher’s Hospital for Children where he works as a pediatric hospitalist. Dr. O’Hara is Board Certified in Pediatrics.  He has worked at numerous sites overseas in medical missionary work, and has a great interest in social justice and raising children with virtues.


Dr. Sterling

Francis Sterling, M.D.
Vice-President

Dr. Sterling has worked in clinical endocrinology and biomedical research for over 30 years, including 30 years on faculty at the University of Pennsylvania School of Medicine and the Philadelphia Veterans Administration Medical Center.  Dr. Sterling is fully trained in Internal Medicine and Endocrinology.  He serves as a Lector at St. Francis Xavier Church in Philadelphia.


Dr. Isajiw

George Isajiw, MD
Secretary-Treasurer

Dr. Isajiw is a practicing Internist.  He is a Past-President of the Philadelphia Guild of the CMA; Past-President of the National CMA; Former Treasurer of the Federation of International Catholic Medical Associations.  He serves as a consultant to the Linacre Institute of the Catholic Medical Association and is a current board member of the National Catholic Medical Association.  Dr. Isajiw is a speaker on medical ethics at annual meetings of the CMA.  He received post-graduate training at Georgetown Medical School Center for Bioethics. He was also a speaker on medical ethics at the International Congress of Catholic Medical Associations in Seoul, South Korea, 2002.


Dr. Neilan

Barbara A. Neilan, MD
Past-President

Dr. Neilan is a practicing hematologist-oncologist in Newark, DE. Her career has included positions as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine, Medical College of Pennsylvania; Interim Chief and Acting Director, Division of Hematology/Oncology, Medical College of Pennsylvania; Associate Medical Director, Dupont Pharmaceuticals; and Associate Professor of Medicine, University of Arkansas for Medical Science.
